Who we are

We live in the Dominican Republic and work with Young Life International. Jake works at Pico Escondido, a Young Life camp that serves Dominicans in this country as well as work teams from the states. We are both currently volunteers with Vida Joven, YL in Spanish, and I (Kyla) am a full-time mom. We want to keep you informed about our lives and our ministry as well as share some encouragement along the way. Read more to find out what God has been doing in our lives!

Happy Birthday Jake!




Here we are in Crystal River, Florida on our day off! It was Jake's birthday so we went snorkeling and swam with the manatees! It was soooo much fun, and unbelievably beautiful. Thank you Lord for such a great day.


Jake and I have one more week of New Staff Training and then we are off to the Dominican Republic!


(We are learning lots of great stuff and working hard during the week :)

Great pictures! I was just up with sick little Ezekiel last night and had a hard time getting good sleep--so I prayed for you guys :) Back to Uganda in 11 days, no fuel and inflated food prices because of the unrest in Kenya. I have to remember that this is part of counting the cost...Love you
